As a therapist, Vicki believes that people motivate themselves toward achieving success and that they are the expert of their life [Person Centered]. It is also her belief that personal conflict is a result of unresolved issues or learned reactive behaviors [EMDR]. She also believes a central focus within counseling is the evaluation of the "self" and how a person views themselves [Humanistic]. Each person has a set of values. Those values form a foundation for the decisions people make, what they think and how they feel. During the counseling session you will experience respect for who you are, suggestions/options to think about, and education.
Vicki received her BA and MAC from Spring Arbor University. She is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Family/Couples, Trauma, Eating Disorders, Court Child Protective Services, Drug Courts, Children through Adult.
Vicki's overall goal is to help support the client so they feel heard, understood, and respected.
